Concert Band
As the foundation of the Band program at NOHS, the Concert Band is a curricular ensemble that performs multiple times throughout the school year, including three concerts annually:
1. NOHS Christmas Concert
2. CVSD Winter Band Festival
3. NOHS Spring Concert
There is 1 main Band course offered at NOHS. The course for all students is called "Band" and is open to anyone interested in being a part of the NOHS Concert Band. During the first semester this course will meet during Pd. 4B and during the second semester this course will meet during Pd. 3. This can be taken in conjunction with orchestra and/or choir.
Students playing percussion instruments should do their best to schedule the 0.5 Percussion course during the first semester. This will be the time where these students can work on the individual skills that cannot be meaningfully approached in a full band setting. This is in addition to the Band course. Percussionists must prioritize scheduling band, then work to include Percussion class after that. This course is not a requirement, but is highly recommended.

Please note that all course information, assignments, and grades are housed in Schoology. Students and parents should reference our Schoology course regularly for the most up-to-date information. Final grades, attendance, and missing assignments can be found in Skyward. Parents should reach out to their student's advisory teacher if in need of access to either platform.
